MUDEFORD RNLI was called to a stranded 24-feet yacht with mechanical difficulties.
Volunteers were called out on May 2 at around 1am to the yacht off Hengistbury Head which was reported to have engine failure.
The lifeboat arrived quickly on the scene at nearly 1.25am with the vessel located a quarter mile off the head.
Mudeford RNLI volunteer launch authority, Graeme Staddon, said: "We are always ready to respond to anyone in difficulty on the water day and night.
"The casualty’s timely decision to raise the alarm was the right one and as a result, we were able to reach him quickly and bring him to safety."
The sole casualty onboard the yacht was declared safe and well.
The vessel was towed back to Mudeford Quay where the yacht was safely moored.
The crew returned to the station at nearly 3am.
The Mudeford Servant Atlantic 85 lifeboat has launched 22 times this year so far and launched 85 times in 2023.
