COASTGUARD rescue teams and ambulance crews were called to a Poole beach after someone was reportedly in difficulty in the water at night.
Both Southbourne and Poole Coastguard attended the incident near Branksome shortly before 7.30pm on Wednesday, September 30.
A spokesperson for the Southbourne team said: "Once on scene we located the casualty who was now safely ashore and provided casualty care until the ambulance service arrived.
"Once we had transferred the casualty to the ambulance service we stood down and returned to station."
Earlier on Wednesday, at around 10am, Southbourne Coastguard Rescue Team were called the national maritime operations centre to reports of a boat on fire in Christchurch.
Before departing the station the team was stood down as the incident had been resolved.
