TWO people have been rushed to hospital after a crash in Boscombe yesterday morning.
The casualties were injured following a collision between a blue Peugeot car and a white van. The road is shut.
The van has overturned in the collision, which happened close to the library at the junction of Hawkwood Road and Heathcote Road.
Initial reports suggested the car was on fire following the crash. However, fire crews say firefighters did not need to extinguish a fire.
A spokesperson from the fire service said: "A woman was taken to hospital by ambulance following the crash.
"Two of our crews from Springbourne and Christchurch were called at 10.20am."
South Western Ambulance Service said they were called to the scene at 10.20am where crews treated two patients before taking them to hospital by land ambulance.
A spokesperson said one of the casualties is thought to have serious injuries. The other casualty has minor injuries.
