Anna Langridge, from Wellbody Health & Fitness, talks to Living about how to get back into your regular fitness regime following the summer months, with some suggestions of some great activities to try right here in Dorset in celebration of this month’s National Fitness Day.

"September is the optimal commitment time to get fit and make your exercise resolutions come alive. The summer holiday season is over, the children have returned to school and adults to work.

"Most of us have had a fantastic few months wining, dining and socialising and are feeling the effects on our health and on our bodies. September 25, 2019 is UK National Fitness Day, so whether your goal is to lose a few pounds, get fit, try a new type of workout, or exercise more regularly and improve your diet, there’s no better time to start!

"The day is organised by UK Active and the goal is to help break down the barriers that stop people from being active, showing that fitness is for everyone.

"This year, the organisers are looking out for the most inspiring #Fitness2Me heroes from nine English regions and the three nations that make up the UK; to promote personal stories to a national audience in the run-up to National Fitness Day.

"So step outside your comfort zone and plan a months’ worth of activity in your diary."
