The beautiful village of Burley in the heart of the New Forest launches its debut Food, Art and Drinks Festival this month.

Taking place at Manor Park from August 24 to 25, organisers say that "an abundance of food, drink and craft stalls, mixed with the rich culture of the historic village, plus music and activities will ensure this is a festival to remember".

Over the August bank holiday weekend, Manor Park’s delightful red deer sanctuary will be transformed with stalls overflowing with local cheeses, chutneys, meats, artisan breads and many more exciting flavours and products.

This diverse mix of foods will be complemented by an assortment of gins, champagne, locally pressed ciders, plus showcases from well known mixologists.

The festival has partnered with The Little Craft Shack, a Christchurch-based consortium providing quality hand-made arts and crafts.

Local artists will be showcasing over the weekend in a bespoke marquee and have organised workshops that can be booked for children and adults to enjoy and embrace their artistic skills.

"I am honoured to be launching this high quality food, arts and drinks festival in such a unique location, in association with Kean Events and the prestigious Burley Manor Hotel," says Mandy Payne, managing director of Stir! Events.

"I am confident this event will attract more people to the area where they can witness the stunning village of Burley for themselves and enjoy what it has to offer."

An entertaining mix of live music is being provided by The Vinyl Beats on Saturday afternoon, who will be performing music from the golden age of vinyl, to include classic hits from The Hollies and The Beatles. On Sunday, the Pete Harris Blues Band will delight the crowds with their blues set from the Solent Delta.

As well as in the deer park itself, there will also be a range of activities taking place around Burley village to get involved in, including window display trails and various competitions.
