ARMED police were called out to Boscombe this afternoon after reports a man with a knife was threatening a woman.
Officers were seen in Roumelia Lane earlier today.
A man has been arrested.
A spokesperson from Dorset Police said: "At 1.37pm today, Tuesday, June 25, Dorset Police received a report that a man was making threats to a woman at an address in the area of Roumelia Lane in Boscombe.
"It was reported that the man was in possession of a knife.
"Officers, including armed officers, attended and a man was located in the area.
"He was arrested on suspicion of false imprisonment and affray and is assisting officers with their enquiries."
